Junior Video Editor


Location: Burbank, CA
Hours: Part-Time (20-29 hours per week)

As the Junior Video Editor at Gas Media Group, this fast-paced environment will excite you. Some weeks you may touch as many as a dozen or more projects. Some for a few quick edits, and others on a deeper level at the direction of our Head of Content Production and our Senior Video Editor. You will be looking to bring out the best in the subjects we film all through the edit. Additionally, you are willing to learn and keep up-to-date with industry trends as they come in and out of style. As a Junior Video Editor, you are expected to meet quick turnarounds, fast revisions, and be able to work directly with our in-house producers. The ideal candidate is someone that consumes lots of online media (i.e., YouTube, Facebook, and others) and has a passion for the genre. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, a fast learner, and has great organizational skills. And they possess the self-discipline to work in an office environment and from home.

Responsibilities

  • Edit engaging video content for accounts and brands on our roster; starting with rough cuts but ideally able to handle start-to-finish edits later on.
  • Organize and ingest raw footage, set up project files, create b-roll strikeouts, and possibly other assistant editing tasks.
  • Assist with creating and implementing motion graphics and animations.
  • Translate client and producer notes into effective, accurate revisions. 
  • Participate in team collaboration and discussion on how to improve our content.
  • Maintain our organized, pre-structured workflow.
  • Follow strict guidelines, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Monitor and adjust based on community feedback, we are all about the audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and social media industry insider ongoings.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years prior experience working in a professional video editing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, especially proficient in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Prior experience creating motion graphics and animations; preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of ever-changing modern and trendy video aesthetics and design.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously per week.
  • Attentive and able to independently problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of camera equipment and previous videography experience is highly preferred.
  • Able to organize projects, files, and large amounts of information efficiently.
  • Familiar with Google Suite apps and organizational software such as Trello and Slack.
  • Flexible scheduling to allow for cross-timezone content rollouts.
  • Strong contributor in a team environment and communication when working in-office and remote. Responsiveness is crucial.

Associate Producer


Location: Burbank, CA
Hours: Full-Time
Compensation: $19-$24 an hour

As an Associate Producer, you will be responsible for researching, pitching ideas, writing, and uploading videos. With our quickly growing owned and operated channels, we strive to provide our audiences with the best in quality and you’ll be a core team member to our Video Editors and Content Production Team. The ideal candidate is someone that consumes plenty of online media that revolves around consumer electronics, this includes yet isn’t limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, a fast learner, well-connected within the social media industry, and has great organizational skills along with self-discipline to work in an office environment and remotely (from home).

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Production Team to brainstorm new ideas and potential series ideas for our Owned/Operated channels
  • Collaborate with the Production Team to plan schedules and forecast needs for shoot days
  • Working alongside video producers to manage production timeline and help maintain the energy of the production
  • Assistance in script editing and fine-tuning
  • Assistance in location and subject research and other pre-production duties
  • Ingesting media from daily productions, and sending out dailies when necessary
  • Preparing content to be published by reviewing videos, and communicating edit requests to the Production Team.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and Social Media industry insider ongoings.

Requirements

  • Former experience as producer or associate producer: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Video production experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Video editing experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Ability to multi-task with accuracy and meet deadlines
  • Cognitive demonstration of strong and original design sense
  • Experience with manipulating and cutting out images from still photos
  • Strong contributor in team environment in-office and remotely

Weekend Support Agent


Location: Remote – Work in your own environment
Hours: Part-Time (20-28 hours per week)
Compensation: $14-$20 an hour

As a Weekend Support staff member, you will be responsible for monitoring GMG’s social media, specifically relating to recruiting clients to GMG. You will be trained in what to do in scenarios you will come across, and expected to be able to handle them with supervision. In addition, you will assist with onboarding new clients and responding to support inquiries of existing ones.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Follows strict guidelines with objectives and tight deadlines
